Ordinance Review Committee – Public Information Forum
THURSDAY, March 28, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

This forum will be a continuation of the Public Information Forum that took place on March 14, 2024. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss how Bremen will incorporate the state’s mandate that all Maine communities create opportunities for additional housing as required by Maine’s LD 2003 / LD 1706. Other potential Land Use and Shoreland Zoning ordinance changes are in the revised version. These ordinances also will be discussed at a Special Town Meeting in April and residents will be able to vote on them. This Public Information Forum will be in person at the Town Center meeting room. All members of the public are invited to attend and participate.
The draft copies of the ordinances below include changes that resulted from the first Public Information Forum on March 14. All new changes are highlighted in yellow. Original changes are red lined.

Ordinance Review Committee
The Ordinance Review Committee is appointed by the Board of Selectmen to address current concerns regarding revisions, changes, and updates to town ordinances. Meetings are considered working sessions and are open to the public. Times and dates of meetings will be scheduled and advertised in advance but will vary to provide different opportunities for community attendance.
