The Town web site operates on word press, due to the PHP cyber security issue our designer has had to take the web page down. This is a temporary page and will have very limited information until determined the action moving forward. Please be patient as this issue is addressed. The php2shell, a pair of critical unauthenticated remote code execution (RCE) vulnerabilities in core PHP. Uncovered by cybersecurity researchers using advanced AI models, the flaws affect every PHP version released in the last decade (from version 5.4 onward), putting roughly 70% to 75% of the internet at immediate risk.
Please note that there are not signs of any breaches and the town is not at any risk.

Comprehensive Plan Committee

We are excited to announce that the Comprehensive Plan Community Survey is now available. Each person in your household over the age of 18 is eligible to participate in this survey. Mission Statement: The Comprehensive Plan is designed to be a “locally crafted, long-range, 0- to 12-year policy document that outlines a community’s vision for its future growth, development, and resource protection.” It is the foundation of town policies and ordinances.
Burn Permits
In Maine, open burning, even on your private property, requires a burn permit. There are a few exceptions such as cooking fires or campfires under 3 feet in diameter and height. Burning is prohibited during red flag warnings and when fire danger is high. For those wishing to secure a permit for outdoor burning, please use the address below:
